Speaker urges officials to maintain secrecy

GUWAHATI, June 23: Assam Legislative Assembly (ALA) Speaker Ranjit Das today called upon the officials of the Assembly maintain secrecy of the official works. Addressing the Assembly officials at a meeting at Dispur, Das said that the works for the Assembly officials will be allocated with effect from July 1. Das in the meeting appreciated the suggestion of an official of observing the Assembly Foundation Day on April 7 in a befitting manner. He also accepted another official’s suggestion of issuing the identity cards of the Assembly members as ‘Smart card’. After the meeting with the officials, Das held another meeting with the staff members of the Assembly. Assam Legislative Assembly (ALA) Principal Secretary Mrigendra Kr Deka also attended the meetings.
