Special 25 Candidates Are In Fray To Contest Against Narendra Modi in Varanasi

Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually has no one to give a tight fight in his Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency which is a fact that would be agreed by his worst critics too.

In 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Narendra Modi had 41 candidates to fight against him which have come down to 25 in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls but still, he has a mini India contesting against him.

The special candidature of 25 belongs to various states including Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Kerala and Uttarakhand and each one of them is here to make a point.

Maharashtrian farmer Manohar Anand Rao Patil dresses up as Mahatma Gandhi and even wears a photograph of Gandhi around his neck. Patil said that he has not contested to defeat PM Modi but he wants to draw his attention to the plight of farmers and the growing corruption.

Manav Vishwamanav who is from Andhra Pradesh who wants to draw attention from the Prime Minister towards the plight of farmers. Vishwamanav’s father passed away and his mother works as a coolie in Vishakhapatnam.

Hina Shahid who is the daughter of late Mohammad Shahid who was an Olympian said that she wants to reach the Parliament so that she can raise women issues. She said that she knows that she cannot defeat Modi but then one should not sit at home just because he is a strong candidate.

Another candidate Manish Srivastava has come from Raipur in Chhattisgarh to contest against the prime minister and wants the government to make it compulsory for all government employees to send their children to government schools and avail medical treatment in government hospitals. He further said that this will go a long way in improving these sectors and checking corruption.

The other candidates to contest against Modi are Sunil Kumar from Haridwar in Uttarakhand, Sheikh Siraj Baba from Malihabad in Lucknow, agriculture scientist Ram Sharan Rajput from Kanpur, a lawyer from Varanasi Prem Nath Sharma, Tribhuvan Sharma from Bareilly and writer Amresh Mishra.

The prominent candidates who are in fray from Varanasi Lok Sabha seat are Ajay Rai of Congress and Shalini Yadav of Samajwadi Party.

These candidates have not come to defeat Modi but they has come with a mission to do something for the society.
