Special Invitation to Biplab Kumar Deb for the Unveiling of ‘Statue of Unity’

Preparations for the mega unveiling of the ‘statue of unity’, the statue of India’s first Home Minister and unifier of India Sardar Ballavbhai Patel is at peak currently and the best part is that Tripura Chief Minister Bipab Kumar Deb has also received an invitation to be present at the grand occasion.

The most attractive factor about this statue of the Sardar Ballavbhai Patel placed in Gujarat is that it has earned the fame of being highest in the world till now. This statue, made of 18,500 tons of steel, is 597 feet tall and is made on the bank of the famous Sardar Sarovar dam of Gujrat.

The construction of this statue was initiated years ago when Narendra Modi was the then chief minister of Gujarat. Now that it is complete, Narendra Modi only will inaugurate it as the Prime Minister of India.

The unveiling programme of the ‘statue of unity’ which will take place on October 31, the 144th birth anniversary of Sardar, is going to be a grand event for entire India and all BJP rules states’ chief ministers are being invited to be a part of this inaugural ceremony.

As this is a wholly BJP driven endeavour, the opposition party, Congress is not very happy with all the arrangements. As stated by the opposition, this is a ‘planned move to disrupt the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’.

This entire project of erecting the statue of Patel costs an expenditure of about Rs 3,001 crore by the Indian government. Not just tall, this is going to be a one huge statue occupying over 20,000 square meters and will be surrounded by a 12 square km artificial lake. The overall look of the statue and the complex is planned to be catchy to attract visitors and is sure to grow up as a top tourist attraction.
