Sprint Sensation Hima Das Graces GQ India Magazine’s Cover Page

Awarded with the Young Indian of the Year Award by GQ India recently, Hima Das has gone a long way in a really short span of time. The Assam girl who shot to fame in an overnight by winning big on an international platform has now got to grace the cover page of the popular magazine in India, the GQ India.

Originating in New York, the GQ India magazine is a popular men’s magazine that deals in fashion, lifestyle and culture for men along with additional subjects like food, movies, relationships, fitness, travel and sports etc.

Hima Das is seen appearing in the October cover of the issue. Hima, popularly known as the ‘Dhing Express’, has recently caught the limelight with her remarkable achievements. Winning a Gold in the IAAF World U20 Championships, a gold and a silver in the recently held Asian games and then being awarded the prestigious Indian award for sportspersons Arjuna Award, has made Hima a national hero. Notably, she becomes the fifth Arjuna Award winner player from Assam and ages only 19 years.
