SSB jawan commits suicide

TAMULPUR, June 17: An SSB jawan identified as Dulal Sarma, 48, of 32 Bn SSB stationed at Kokilabari Agricultural Farm under Simla police station in Baksa district committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle on Thursday morning. Police said Sarma who hails from neighbouring Gihjhari, Ghograpar in lbari district killed himself with his service carbine rifle. The incident took place around 3.30 am inside the camp. Two bullets pierced his chest, while four empty cartridges and a carbine were recovered from the spot. The body was later taken to Mushalpur for postmortem.  He leaves behind his wife and three children.
