State Forest Minister’s effigy burnt

Golaghat (Dhekial), Feb 6: The members of Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) Golaghat district committee on Monday burnt the effigy of State Forest Minister Promila Rani Brahma  for  her alleged involvement in graft cases by appointing youths to collect money.

The activists burnt the forest minister’s effigy in the heart of Golaghat town at Batapoint. They shouted various slogans against the BJP government and demanding expulsion of Pramila Rani Brahma from the ministry. The president and secretary of the organization, Diganta Chetia and Abdul Hasim respectively, condemned the alleged indirect involvement of the minister in collecting money by appointing some youths.
