State has lot to offer in terms of adventure sports: Khandu

Itanagar, April 28: Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Friday attended the concluding day of the three-day Siang Rush Expedition 2018, a rafting expedition in the Siang River organized by Abor Country Travel and Expedition and the Tourism department.
Addressing the participants at a simple function, Khandu said that such expedition will open up Arunachal as favorite destination for kayaking and river rafting sports.
He said Arunachal has lot many things to offer in terms of adventure sports and expressed happiness that the youths and entrepreneurs of the state are now investing in tourism and are keen to explore more in this sector, an official release informed here today.
Earlier, the participants that included travel writer, filmmakers, govt officials, adventure tour operators and others – collectively dubbed as ‘Friends of Siang’ – besides three kayak experts and a river guide shared their experience during the expedition, which was flagged off from Geku on Wednesday last.
