Steve Rhodes’ Tenure As Bangladesh Coach Comes To Premature End

London: Bangladesh coach Steve Rhodes’ tenure has come to a premature end following the team’s eighth-place finish at the ongoing World Cup in England and Wales.

“The board had a review following the Pakistan match (Bangladesh’s last at the World Cup) in a meeting in London,” Bangladesh Cricket Board CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury told ESPNcricinfo. “There it was decided that the BCB and Steve Rhodes will not continue on their agreement. The separation was by mutual consent.”

Rhodes, who had taken charge in July 2018, had a two-year contract with the Bangladesh Cricket Board and was supposed to be in the role till the 2020 T20 World Cup. IANS
