Student commits suicide at Pathsala

PATHSALA, Feb 24: Sensation prevailed here in the Bajali area following the alleged suicide of an 18-year- old student last night. Hayen Basumatary, a HS fil year student of Andaram Boruah Academy at Pathsala allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself inside his room of the hostel of the institute.  Hayen, son of rayan Basumatary, hails from wkata in Baska district. Police have sent his body for postmortem to Fakaruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College Hospital at Barpeta and investigation is going on. Teacher of the institute said to the correspondent, he was a sincere student. Police said that no suicide note was recovered from the spot. During the last there years, as many as three students of the institute have committed suicide.
