Student goes missing, suspected to be kidpped

HOWRAGHAT, May 15: A Class IX student of Loyla English Medium High School, gaon, has been missing from the school hostel since April 8.

Zorgul Khan, a resident of Howraghat town and father of Durkhani Begom (15), the missing student, said that he was informed by the school authorities that his daughter had gone missing. As soon as he received the information, an enquiry was immediately started by Khan and his family members. But after the inquiry, Khan claimed that his daughter had been kidpped.

Khan rushed to the Morikolong police station, gaon, situated near Loyla English Medium High School and a case was registered against Samim Laskar, who is the prime suspect in the alleged kidpping, under section 871/16 IPC 366 (A).

Talking to media persons, Zorgul Khan and his family claimed that Durkhani Begom was kidpped by a youth who has been identified as Samim Laskar, son of Mai Laskar, resident of Howraghat Debasthan bazaar. Samim Laskar is absconding.
