Student of Krishna Kanta Handique Junior College in Pathsala goes missing one day before the declaration of results

PATHSALA: A student of Krishna Kanta Handique Junior College in Pathsala of Barpeta district, who had appeared in the Higher Secondary (HS) examination, 2019, went missing on Friday, one day before the declaration of exam results. The student has been identified as Chinmoy Sarma. He is a resident of Bhogpur village in Barpeta district. Chinmoy is the only son of Jagadish Sarma and Namita Devi.

As per report, on May 24, Chinmoy went to attend his computer class in Pathsala town. But he did not return home. Chinmoy cleared his HS final exam, result of which was declared on Saturday. According to his family members, the result was as per his expectations. “Chinmoy’s exam result has been as per his expectations. So we fail to understand why he has gone missing,” said a member of Chinmoy’s family. The family members have already started searching for him as he has not turned up even after two days. His family has also lodged a missing complaint at Patacharkuchi police station in Barpeta district.
