Summer Cricket Coaching Camp Kicks off at Silapathar

GUWAHATI: The 7-day long Summer Cricket Coaching Camp, organised by S M Cricket Academy, kicked off today at Rajib Gandhi Sports Complex, Silapathar. Government employee Utpal Bora inaugurated the rapid coaching camp in presents of Secretary of Dhemaji District Sports Association Diganta Hazarika, Secretary of Lakhimpur Cricket Association Surjit Choudhury and many other former cricketers of the zone. Treasurer of Dhemaji Cricket Association and one of the organisers Nitya Chetia hoisted the flag during opening ceremony. Tanmoy Saikia, one of the organisers, is very optimistic about the camp and hoped that the camp would boost the young talents of the region in proper route. He ensured that the coaching camp would be continued and would become a full-fledged camp in near future. Saukat Hasan, Purnananda Saikia and Jugananda Saikia will be the coaches of the camp. Around 40 boys and girls attended in the opening day.
