Sunny, pleasant Sunday in Delhi, rain likely Monday

New Delhi, March 8: The week ended on a pleasant note for residents of the tiol capital as Sunday saw partly cloudy skies and the maximum temperature settled at 26 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season’s average. The Met office forecast light rainfall on Monday. “The sky will remain partly cloudy tomorrow (Monday) and light rain could occur in some parts of the city,” said an India Meteorological Department official.

The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 25 and 13 degrees Celsius, respectively. Sunday afternoon was sunny but the sky turned cloudy towards the evening and some parts of Delhi and the adjoining suburbs of Noida and Ghaziabad experienced strong winds and dust storms accompanied by lightning.

The day’s minimum temperature settled at 14 degrees Celsius, the season’s average and the day’s maximum humidity was recorded at 100 percent. Saturday’s maximum temperature was a notch below the season’s average at 27.6 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature settled at 12.5 degrees Celsius.(IANS)
