Advocate arrested

GUWAHATI, June 30: An advocate of the Gauhati  High Court, Sandip Dey, was arrested today by the Bhangagarh police allegedly for cheating. According to sources, he went to Sohum Emporia of the city to collect money from its proprietor identifying himself as sub-inspector (prosecution). Dey, 28, is a resident of the Goswami Service area under Chandmari Police station of the city. He was an agent of another fraud Samujjal Deka, who went to Sohum Emporia yesterday with the fake identity of an ACP, SIT, BIEO and demanded money as tax. The Sohum authority has filed an FIR at Bhangagarh Police station in this connection.
