Teacher dies in accident

Tamulpur, April 10: A teacher died in a road mishap at Laupara on Tamulpur-grijuli road on Sunday night at about 9.30 pm under grijuli police outpost in the district of Baksa. The deceased has been identified as Kornel Soren (55) of Nowakhat village  under Tamulpur subdivision. Kornel was serving as assistant teacher at Dakhin Laupara LP School. Last night after attending a marriage party at Tebitola village near grijuli, Kornel Soren was returning home on his motorcycle when the accident took place. Due to the accident he was seriously injured.

Nikhil Singh, in-charge of grijuli police outpost rushed to the spot and sent him to Tamulpur primary health centre with the help of local people. But Kornel succumbed to his injuries. On Monday morning, grijuli police sent the body for post-mortem. The cause of accident has not been ascertained. Police investigation is on.
