Teachers’ body threatens to boycott classes

TINSUKIA, July 15: The Sadou Asom Prathamik TET Uttirna Sikshak Samaj (SAPTUSS) has threatened to boycott classes unless the government gives positive response to its demands before August. This was decided in the State Working Committee meeting held at Bodousa Bhavan, Tinsukia on Saturday with Trailokhya Deka, working president of SAPTUSS, in the chair. In a press release, the SAPTUSS stated that a memorandum would be submitted to the Chief Minister demanding release of one year arrear salary as per recommendation of the 7th Pay Commission, besides regularization of pay. The memorandum further stated that the MLAs would be urged to raise their issue during the summer session of the Assembly.
