Terror motive suspected in Australia stabbing attack

Canberra, Aug 24: A French tiol allegedly cried “Allahu Akbar” during a stabbing attack that left a 21-year-old British woman dead and two others injured at a backpackers hostel in Australia, media reported on Wednesday. The 29-year-old man went on a stabbing spree late on Tuesday night at a backpackers hostel near Townsville in northern Queensland state. The suspect was arrested at the crime scene and the investigators took possession of the knife allegedly used in the attacks. The Australian and British media identified the deceased as Mia Ayliffe-Chung, from Derbyshire, who was reported to be days into a three-month working holiday in the area after having worked in a bar in the Gold Coast, the Guardian reported.
