The Tallest Statue in the World Statue of Unity Unveiled in India

Guwahati: The Statue of Unity, a memorial dedicated to India's first Home Minister Sardar Patel is unveiled today by the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi near the Sardar Sarovar Dam on Narmada River. With a height of 182 metres, this is the tallest ever statue in the world, being erected as a tribute to freedom icon Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his 143rd birth anniversary. The inauguration of the statue in itself was grand as the Air Force planes showered flowers on the statue right after it’s unveiling.
