Thongdok warns against misuse of funds

Itagar, Aug 11: Aruchal Pradesh Assembly Speaker TN Thongdok has sought quality work from all departments and warned against misuse of government funds.

Attending a development review meeting with departmental heads and panchayat leaders of Kalaktang assembly constituency at the ADC conference hall here, Thongdok said projects need to be completed in time as “social development is the real development”.

While reviewing the schemes, he said “All departments should submit quarterly progress report and maintain cordial relation with panchayat leaders for fast and better development,” he said.

The speaker also requested the SE of Public Works Department for the fixation of rates for open sheds. He further emphasised on agriculture and horticulture sectors and on organic farming to address the issue of unemployment. 

ADC Kalaktang Hage Lailang, ZPM Kalaktang Tashi Norbu and all heads of departments and panchayat leaders attended the meeting.

Thongdok made a tour of his constituency and also visited Yokmuzor at Musaksingpam and Blapsar at Lingbaktang village to take stock of the ongoing tourism projects.
