Three 'aliens' picked up from coal mine

SHILLONG, Dec 22: The Infiltration Special Police Squad of Mawkyrwat arrested three suspected Bangladeshi tiols from one coal mine located at Nongjri in South West Khasi Hills district on Thursday. According to the police, as checking was being conducted at one coal mine at Nongjri around 2.30 pm, police personnel bbed the three suspects. Following their interrogation, the trio revealed that they were from Bangladesh and were earning a living in India by working for one person identified as Thiseng M Marak from Khonjoy village, South West Khasi Hills district. The Bangladeshi tiols have been identified as Chenen Ch Marak (35) from Mymensing, Theman M Marak (24) from Maheshkhola Khahma and Billium M Marak (28) from Maheshkhola Khahma, all from Bangladesh. In this regard the police have registered a case against the three persons under Section 14 of Foreigners Act.
