Three arrested

JOYSAGAR, May 13: Sapekhati Police of Charaideo district apprehended three suspects on Saturday in connection with the gang rape of an 18-year old girl on May 9 at Mazhi Basti of Borbaruah Khat Tea Estate under Sapekhati Police Station. The accused persons have been identified as Bijay Murmo (25), Lalit Baruah (36) and Bablu Karmakar (28) of the same tea estate. Senior police officers are interrogating them about the incident in Sonari Sadar Police Station, sources informed.
