Three arrested for carrying illegal wood logs in Sadiya, Trucks Seized

Sadiya: In a joint operation led by Sadiya Superintendent of Police, Debojit Deori, the 20 Madras Regiment, CRPF and Assam Police seized two trucks loaded with illegally felt logs from Bishnupur - Islampur Naka Point under Sadiya police station on Monday night.

As per police reports, three persons have been arrested in this connection.

The miscreants had brought the logs from Deopani reserve forest after felling them illegally without possessing any kind of documents.

A .22 pistol, four live ammunition, one mobile handset have been recovered from their possession.
