MANGALDAI, August 31: Mystery shrouds the death of a villager who got electrocuted while visiting a poultry farm at village Borangabari near Dighirpar under Mangaldai Police Station on Sunday evening.  Meanwhile, three persons including a doctor have been arrested by the police.

The deceased has been identified as nda Deka of the same village. Deka went to visit a poultry farm in his village and somehow came into contact with a live wire. On seeing his condition, the owner of the firm Zamir Hussain, his brother Dr Atikur Hussain with the help of one Durgeswar Deka took the electrocuted person to Sipajhar PHC in a critical condition  where he was declared ‘brought dead’.

However, allegedly all three persons had left the hospital without informing the police. On receipt of the information, a section of the agitated villagers physically assaulted Durgeswar Deka and termed it as a murder case and informed the Mangaldai Police who registered a case (No. 755/15 under section 302 of Indian Pel Code) and arrested Zamir Hussain, Dr. Atikur Hussain and Durgeswar Deka. However, all the three arrested accused persons have denied it to be a murder case and termed it as an unfortute case of electrocution. Sub-Inspector of Police Twinkle Goswami will investigate the case. The agitated villagers on Monday allegedly caused damage to the poultry farm too.
