Three biographies capture the lives of Tendulkar, Ramdev, Kohli

New Delhi, May 1: Bookworms and keen readers of biographies are in for a treat as three biographies that attempt to capture the life and evolution of three distinct Indian persolities are slated to release this month.

These biographies, published by Rupa and Aleph, bring the stories of Sachin Tendulkar, Baba Ramdev and Virat Kohli to the fore.

Virat Kohli scored only 10, 12 and 19 runs in his debut domestic ODI and Test matches. Today, he is hailed as one of the greatest batsmen in the world. But how did this transformation come about? “Winning like Virat: Think & Succeed like Kohli” attempts to understand the secrets of his phenomel success and tells the reader how best to emulate these in life.

The next book on offer, “The Baba Ramdev Phenomenon” offers a detailed account of Ramdev’s journey from attaining moksha in the Himalayas to ruling the market, especially the FMCG sector, with his Patanjali products. It captures the rise and rise of Patanjali and the various factors that worked for it, most importantly, the vision of Ramdev and the able assistance of his associate Acharya Balkrish.

Last but not the least, the readers have an opportunity to flick through “Hero: A Biography of Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar,” the story of an extraordiry cricketer and the first sportsperson to be conferred the Bharat Rat, India’s highest civilian honour.  This book showcases the evolution of an incredibly talented teeger from a middle-class household of Mumbai into a world champion and a legend.
