Three held with weapons at Dhula

MANGALDAI, February 20: In a significant achievement, the Darrang Police in the wee hours of Monday, arrested three hardcore anti-social elements with crimil background and recovered two hand-made sophisticated weapons from their possession.

As per instruction from the Superintendent of Police Sreejith Thiraviam, Officer in-charge of Dhula Police Station, Sub-Inspector Ranjit Hazarika conducted a specific operation in village Bogdia Rajapukhuri of the district and arrested Dulal Hoque of village Rajapukhuri, Ismail Hoque and Abdul Barek of village Bogdia and recovered the weapons from the residence of Dulal Hoque and Ismail Hoque. According to police, all the three arrested crimils are involved in women trafficking, extortion and robbery and were creating a reign of terror in the locality.
