Three killed  after car on way to Arunachal Pradesh falls into deep gorge

TANGLA: In a tragic road mishap, three youths died on the spot while four other co-passengers sustained a grievous injury while they were on their way to the West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh near Sukanala in a Tata Safari vehicle which turned turtle after it fell into a deep gorge at around 10.57 pm on Wednesday night.

According to reports, three youths -Sudeb Basumatary, an ex- Bodo Liberation Tigers (BLT) cadre, Raju Gogoi, and Kamal Basumatary of Rowta Chariali under Rowta police station in Udalguri district, died on the spot while four other co-passengers were later referred to the GMCH in a critical condition. The seven youths, travelling to nearby West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh in a Scorpio bearing number AS01 AY 4478, were on their return journey when it skidded off the main road and fell into a deep gorge. Meanwhile, the identity of the four critically injured youths has not been known till the filing of this report.
