Three persons arrested in Pachin Colony murder case

ITAGAR, May 2: In a swift action, Capital Police have arrested three persons in connection with gruesome murder of one Radhi Tallang at Pachin Colony on Friday night.

The arrested were identified as Bengia Taluk (40) of Yapak village under Koloriang police station in Kurung Kumey district, Hillang Talo (37) of Jampa village under Doimukh police station in Papum Pare and Riya Chabuk (26) of Nyolo village under Koloriang police station in Kurung Kumey district.

A team of Capital Police led by SDPO Jummar Basar after alyzing calls data records (CDR) of deceased which was linked with one of accused Hillang Talo, picked up Hillang Talo and Riya Chabuk from Paching Colony itself and Bengia Taluk was arrested from his rented house at Popu-II, harlagun at the intervening night on Saturday, police added.

One modified fire arm and two daos were recovered from them which they used to commit the heinous crime, police informed.

Further, Police revealed that as per the prelimiry inquiry, it appeared to be a revenge killing as deceased had allegedly beaten up accused Riya Chabuk during their stay in jail in years ago.

In order to take revenge, accused Riya Chabuk had called deceased Radhi Tallang to Pachin Colony on fateful night of Friday last.

Accused Bengia Taluk shot deceased Radhi Tallang with firearm at forehead. Later, accused Riya Chabuk slit the throat and accused Hillang Talo threw the body away after inflicting injury on the back of the deceased with a dao, the police added.
