Three smugglers held with rcotics

SHILLONG, Nov 8: The Anti-rcotics Task Force (ANTF) of East Khasi Hills District Police after receiving reliable inputs with the help of Dorbar Shnong, Mawlai Nongpdeng apprehended one person identified as Wankmen Susngi, (27) from Mawlai Nongpdeng while he was selling heroin.

Six ‘purias’ or paper wrapping containing heroin weighing 0.16 grams and two mobile phones were recovered from his possession.

Based on his confession, ANTF personnel along with Mawlai Police station personnel laid a trap and bbed one Hmar Ramengmawia, (28) of Madanriting from Madanriting Bazar who further led to the arrest of Shokhomang Lhungdim (40) a big heroin supplier from his residence at Lumbatngen, Law-u-Sib, Shillong and recovered 127.77 gms of heroin worth Rs 12, 77,700.

385 empty ‘Golden’ tin containers meant for packing heroin for sale, two mobile phones, some incrimiting documents and 7 big packets of heroin also were recovered.
