Three suspected jihadists bbed in Chirang

Bongaigaon, September 16:  Following previous information, Chirang district police in association with 156 Battalion of CRPF, bbed three suspected jihadists from Daukhagar area under Dhaligaon PS of Chirang district on Wednesday night.

The three jihadists have been identified as Mirul Islam (20), resident of Daukhagar area of Chirang, Bodiul Zamal Sekh (26), resident of Popragaon area of Bongaigaon district and Zohorul Haque (27), resident of Sarabari Gedabazar of Chirang district.

Ranjan Bhuya, Superintendent of Police, Chirang said that they were forming a new jihadist group. He also said that the me of the group from which these cadres belonged had not been found out.

“They formed a camp in the house of Iman Ali of Daukhagar area of Chirang district. They also started practicing for doing anti-social activities. We received information about this and so last night we raided the house. We were able to b these three persons,” said Bhuya.
