Tiger kills livestock at Orang tiol Park

TANGLA, November 30: At a time when there are reports of tigers striking human habitation near tiol parks and wildlife sanctuaries, thereby resulting in loss of human life and livestock, reports have surfaced from Rajiv Gandhi Orang tiol Park where livestock was killed on Tuesday night.

 Reportedly, a tiger killed a pregnt cow and injured several others in the shed of one Mafizuddin at lbari village located adjacent to the tiol park. Previously, in the same period, tigers, which have a considerable population in the park, resurfaced in the human habitation resulting in loss of human life and livestock. The park authorities have not paid any heed to this, alleged villagers.

Panic-stricken villagers have been spending sleepless nights since the incident. A team of  the Anti-Forest Activities Counteract Committee, headed by Musabirul Haque, visited the village and took stock of the situation. The committee has exhorted the park authorities to compensate the affected people.
