Tihar Sanmilan at mtola

Sori, Dec 23: Tihar Sanmilan, the traditiol festival of gorkha community of Assam, was celebrated at mtola High School playground on December 20 and 21. On December 20, organization flag was hoisted by mtola regiol AAGSU committee president Lal Bahadur Thapa.  Gorkha folk dance, Dewsi, Bhoile and Sangini dance competition were also held as a part of the programme. A traditiol procession was taken out.  An open session was held at 4 pm, which was attended by jourlist Dilip Raut, Sankar Lama, vice president of All Assam Gorkha Students’, Krish Newar, vice president of Gorkha Autonomous Council Demand Committee. A colorful cultural evening was also held where Kapil Thapa of Mumbai, Surekha Chetri of Guwahati and local artists performed.
