Tinsukia,June 8 : Shri Rameswar Teli, MP laid foundation stone for new FOB with provision of ramp at New Tinsukia station on he occasion of two week long “Railyatri Upbhokta Pakhwada” going in Indian Railways.
Speaking on the occasion, Teli said that this FOB with provision of “RAMP” at one end wil fulfil long standing demands of the public as there is only one FOB as of now at New Tinsukia station. He appreciated the steps taken by Tinsukia division on this account. He also appreciated regarding cleanliness of the New Tinsukia station.
Before that he was welcomed with flower bouquet and gamocha in Assamese traditiol way by S.Hajong,ADRM, Tinsukia. In the meeting Hira Devi, Member of DRUCC was also present. On the hand, Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, MP laid foundation stone for 3-bay PP-shed at Jorhat station in presence of large gathering of public and rail users. He spoke that tha with this extension of PP-shed by 3-bays it will be convenient for traveling public specially during sunny days and rainy days. He appreciated the steps taken by Tinsukia division.In meeting M.K.Ds,Addl DC, Jorhat, Aru Dutta, Municipal Chairman and Dr.D.C.Agarwal,member of DRUCC were also present. Aneet Dualt,DRM, Tinsukia welcomed Tasa and delivered his welcome speech. He told that Jorhat station is going to be developed as “Adarsh station” very soon and for which necessary works order has been issued. He sought co-operation from public to keep the station clean.This was stated in a press release.
