SHILLONG, Aug 10:  The Deputy Commissioner of West Garo Hills Tura has invited applications for tiol Bravery Awards for Children for the year 2016 which will be awarded by Indian Council for Child Welfare (ICCW), New Delhi for a child between 6 to 18 years of age on the date of the incident. The date of the incident should have occurred between July 1, 2015 and June 30, 2016.

The main objective of the scheme is to give due recognition to the children who perform acts of courage and bravery against social evil or crime. Nomitions are received in the prescribed application form which can be obtained from ICCW headquarters office. Detailed information can be obtained from the Meghalaya State Council for Child Welfare, Shillong or the Deputy Commissioner’s office, Tura. The last date for submission of application is September 30.
