tmandal Pathsala screens Chalo Rabindra Bhavan

PATHSALA, August 30: In memory of the father of Assamese mobile theatre, ‘Manchaprabhakar’ Achyut Lahkar, tmandal Pathsala screened the children drama Chalo Rabindra Bhavan at the Brajath Sarma Hall. The drama was written and directed by dramatist Nitul Kumar Medhi. Actor Lakhi Das lit the lamp and also released the tmandal’s yearly magazine tyagalpa. Jourlist Dhrubajyoti Talukdar is the editor of the 21st edition of the magazine. After this, Achyut Lahkar’s wife Kiran Lahkar and his daughter Juri Lahkar Sarma paid their respect to the legend by lighting lamp in front of his photo and placing a floral garland around it. The drama Chalo Rabindra Bhavan was officially iugurated by Bajali SDO Subhalakhsmi Deka. Along with the drama, a mime show Akotaiye Porom Bol was showcased which was directed by Kuldeep Patgiri, a recipient of Indian Government’s Youth Artist Award.
