Tokay gecko recovered at Tamulpur

Tamulpur, Sept 1: A tokay gecko was recovered at Maregaon village under Gandhibari police outpost in the district of Baksa. According to the officer in-charge of Gandhibari police outpost, Lohit Medhi, one youth recovered a tokay gecko (keko ske) along the bank of River Boroliya and he informed the police. A police team of Gandhibari outpost led by in-charge Lohit Medhi reached the place and recovered the tokay gecko on Thursday evening and it was handed over to Tamulpur forest range office. Forest personnel said that the tokay gecko would be sent to the Assam State Zoo in Guwahati.
