Top seed bows out

GUWAHATI, Nov 22: Unseeded Aanya Goel of USA thrown out top seed Bhakti Parwani of India in straight sets 6-4, 6-2 to cause a major upset in the girls under 18 event of the ongoing ITF Juniors World Ranking Tennis Tourment in Guwahati today. In another major upset un seeded wild card entrant Krish Patel of India ousted 3rd seed Nikit Reddy of USA 7-6(4), 4-6, 2-3 (conceded). 

The girls under 18 event also saw two more upsets. 5th seed Yuvrani Banerjee and 6th Mubashira Anjum Sheik were shown the door by Sudipta Kumar and Chandrika Joshi respectively. The boys and girls semi fils and the fils of the doubles events  will be held tomorrow.
