TAMULPUR, June 23: On demand of a separate state Boroland ABSU, NDFB (P) and Peoples Joint Action committee for Boroland (PJACBM) organised a torch rally on the road of Tamulpur on Thursday around the 7.30 pm. The Torch Rally was iugurated by the president of Baksa district ABSU Sunil Suju Basumatary at Matangapar in front of the office of the Tamulpur Anchalik ABSU
Addressing the rally, Sunil Suju Basumatary said that rendra Modi led government had not given importance to the demand of separate state of Boroland. Over the last 50 years, the indigenous Bodo people have been crying for their constitutiol right.
If the government does not pay attention to solve the problem of Bodoland issue, then the situation of the Northeast will become unstable. “Divide Assam 50-50, we want Boroland, no Boroland no rest, we want justice, we support Gorkhaland,” were the slogans shouted by the participants as they marched on the road of Tamulpur
The rally returned to Matngapar and ABSU leader Jiten Mushahary addressed the participants. grijuli Anchalik ABSU, Dwarkuchi Anchalik ABSU, and Kumarikata Anchalik ABSU worker and many supporters of Boroland joined the torch rally.
