Traders' body against bandh culture

From our Correspondent
Bongaigaon, June 27: Small-scale Traders Group (SSTG), Bongaigaon have appealed to all the four organizations which have called Assam bandh on June 28, to lift the bandh. Mridul Brman, secretary of SSTG, said that the bandh would affect the labour class people. “Since a long time, we, the people of Assam are noticing various bandhs called by various organizations for various demands. But we have never seen any positive outcome of these bandhs.  The economically lower class people are the worst affected by these bandhs.  As this is the time for half-yearly examition in schools and also a good time for business, so we appeal to the four organizations to lift their bandh. We also appeal to all organizations not to take bandh as a path of agitation. There are many others way to show protest. Bandh does not affect the rich people. It only affects the lower income class people. We also appeal to all people not to observe any kind of bandh,” he said.
