Transport Minister for timely delivery of deluxe buses

FROM OUR CORRESPONDENT

ITAGAR, Aug 30:  In a bid to ensure quality of Aruchal Pradesh State Transport (APST) buses, Transport and Civil Supplies minister Jomde Ke along with APST general mager Abu Tayeng and additiol general mager B Bhattacharjee on Monday inspected the ongoing body fabrication work at Prakash Body Construction in Nogaon, Assam. Ke is the first minister who has undertaken such inspection to ensure the quality of buses before its induction.

In addition to the 12 ultra buses already inducted in the fleet, the APST would now also see 16 new-look deluxe buses to be inducted into its fleet.

Ke on the occasion directed that quality control be maintained besides adhering to the delivery schedule.

“Timely delivery is the need of the hour since these buses will not only cater to public service but also earn valuable revenue for the state,” he added.   While appreciating general manger Tayeng and his team for introduction of the ultra buses, the minister assured to take up the matter of including more buses into the APST with the chief minister, an official release informed here on Tuesday.
