Tribute paid to ITBP martyr on Police Commemoration Day, Dhubri

Dhubri: Late Constable Bibhuti Roy of ITBP was paid tribute by 33rd BN ITBP troops in his Native Village – Charai Khola, P.S – Golak Ganj, Distt - Dhubri, (Assam) on 17th October 2018 to mark the Police Commemoration Day.

Late constable Bibhuti Roy had laid down his life during Uttarakhand disaster in the June 2013. The IAF MI-17 V5 Helicopter in which he was onboard was on a rescue mission from Gauchar to Guptkashi and Kedarnath, crashed north of Gaurikund on the return leg from Kedarnath, a release stated.

Pushpender Rathore, Assistant Commandant of 33rd BN ITBP along with troops visited the local high school in which Late Constable Bibhuti Roy had studied and paid homage and garlanded the picture of the martyr.

Later, A cultural programme on patriotic theme prepared by 33rd BN troops was organized at the village. Pushpender Rathore in his address stated the bravery acts of Late Constable Bibhuti Roy who laid down his life for the service of his nation. He appealed the students to instill the characteristics of being a good human being and live for the sake of your country, the release added.
