Tripura Chief Minister Greets and Asks the Newly Elected Panchayat Members to be Responsible

As the Tripura panchayat elections are over now with new members joining their respective posts and duties, the Chief Minister of the state asks them all to be responsible towards their duty and work for the welfare of the people. The CM addressed the new members of the panchayat while speaking to a rally in front of Rabindra Bhavan in Agartala.

Deb asked the panchayat members to take help of the judiciary for executing the welfare schemes of the Central and the State Government. The rally that Deb addressed was organized to mark the party’s massive victory in the three-tier Panchayat by-election.

Other notable designated people to take part in the victory rally were Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Barma, Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath and party’s two general secretaries – Rajib Bhattacharjee and Pratima Bhowmik.

The three-tier Panchayat was won by the BJP with a one-sided by-election and the party secured 99.37 per cent seats of the panchayat polls. The gram panchayat 3207 seats, BJP won 3179 seats and out of 161 seats in panchayat samiti, it won 159 seats. With this huge win, the BJP made a clean sweep in zilla parisads by winning all the 18 seats.
