Truck carrying illegal coal seized

SIVASAGAR, Nov 14: Illegal coal smuggling, a matter of serious concern for which the government is incurring loss of crores of revenue, has started again in the State. According to sources, a truck loaded with coal was seized by police in an operation at Sori in Charaideo district on Monday.  Sources said that the truck was smuggling coal from galand to harkatia via Sori when it was seized. Police have apprehended the truck driver and are interrogating him.  As per his statement, a businessman identified as Hobir of Nimogar is involved in the smuggling of coal, sources revealed.
