Tuki condemns rape of nun, church demolition

Itagar, March 18: Aruchal Pradesh Chief Minister bam Tuki has condemned the incident of gang-rape of a 72-year-old nun in dia district of West Bengal in strongest words.

While terming the incident as barbaric and inhuman, Tuki questioned the mentality of those culprits outraging the modesty of a pious and religious soul who had sacrificed her entire life for the sake of humanity and in social service.

“The perpetrators of such heinous crime should be immediately bbed and given exemplary punishment”, CM assertively said in a statement while extending his solidarity with the victim.

He appealed the West Bengal Government to intensify the investigation and book the culprits at the earliest so that the people of this great country are able to restore their faith on the public administration and the police.

Meanwhile, Tuki expressed his deep sense of sorrow over the incident of Church demolition in Hisar under Harya. In a statement, Tuki condemned the incident and requested the Government of Harya to ensure commul harmony.

“We are citizens of a great country known for its religious pluralism. Such kind of incident of targeting a particular community is highly condemble”, Tuki said.

He requested the state government and the Centre to take strict actions against those involved in disturbing peaceful co-existence amongst different communities in the country.
