Tuki, Richo flay Giriraj

Itagar, April 2: Aruchal Pradesh Chief Minister bam Tuki has out rightly denounced and condemned the objectioble remarks made by Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Congress President Sonia Gandhi at Hajipur, Bihar on Tuesday. While terming the remarks as blatant and racist Tuki in a statement said that “Such remarks are not only an insult to the pluralistic ethos of the country but also go a long way in reflecting the gender and racial prejudices of a Union Minister who has taken an oath of allegiance to the Constitution.”

“The people of the country owe an immediate apology from the minister for violating his constitutiol propriety,” the chief minister said.

He lamented that invoking a past Prime Minister’s marital life just to earn political points has taken the level of political discourse in the country to a new low.

He termed this as a very irresponsible act which has hurt the sentiments of the millions of Congress workers across the country.

Meanwhile, APCC President Padi Richo has vehemently condemned the racist comment made by Singh on Gandhi. In a statement, Richo questioned the BJP leadership of encouraging such habitual offenders who have several records in the past of delivering loose and unethical comments.

While demanding public apology from the minister, the APCC chief called upon the Prime Minister rendra Modi and BJP President Amit Shah to take strict action against him. “Such political leaders do not enjoy the liberty to stay as union minister who for merely getting political mileage can go as low by delivering gender and racial attack against the president of the country’s oldest tiol party”, Richo assertively said.
