Two children dead in road mishap at Golaghat

GOLAGHAT: In a tragic road accident that took place on NH-39 near Sonaguri Tea Factory under Numaligarh Police Outpost of Golaghat district, two minor children died on the spot and 11 were admitted in Vivekanandra Hospital in a critical condition. The deceased children have been identified as Anup Kheria and Jambo Urang.

According to sources, Hundulu Lohar, resident of Gubindapur TE, bought a second-hand Indica car bearing registration AS 01 AF 2276 and on Saturday afternoon, Prokash Lohar took 12 children from the neighbourhood for a trip in the car. The car met with an accident at NH-39 near Sonaguri Tea Factory. A police team led by Additional SP Dhruba Bora rushed to the spot and all injured children were sent to the hospital.
