Two-day Eid Mehfil in Lakhimpur from October 10

Lakhimpur, Oct 8 : With a motto to enhance commul harmony in Assam, the cultural programme Kendriya Eid Mehfil will be held on October 10 and October 11 at the Tyag Khetra field of north Lakhimpur town.

Prof. Baharul Islam has been chosen as the president and Dr. Abu Taher as secretary of the Kendriya Eid Mehfil committee. Various programmes related to Assamese folk culture will be organized during the two days of the Eid mehfil which will include zikir competition, various cultural and sports competitionMoreover, a State-level essay competition will be organized on the occasion.

Renowned educationists Dr Debabrat Sharma and Dr Prabin Saikia will attend the public meeting of Kendriya Eid mehfil Udjapan Samitee on October 11 after which the prize distribution ceremony will be held. Filly a musical programme by renowned artiste Vidya Sagar will conclude the programme.
