Two gamblers arrested, arms recovered

TANGLA, Feb 26:On the basis of specific input about some illegal activity in Ekrabari weekly market,RowtaPolice raided the market and arrested two persons on Sunday. The arrested persons have been identified as  Pareshrzary, resident of PuruniappaGaon  and Lwitw Brahma, resident of  Dolapara under Rowta PS of Udalguri.  Police seized one country-made revolver and two rounds live ammunition along with Bhutanese currency with face value of Rs3,000 and Indian currency with face value of Rs.850. An Alto car and eight bikes were also seized by the police. The gamblers have been kept in Rowta police station of Udalguri.
