Two held for circulating fake currency notes

Dimakuchi, Oct 8: Acting on a tip-off, Pranjal Borah, SDPO of Bhergaon subdivision under Udalguri district, apprehended two persons in connection with circulation of fake currency at Attareekhat under the Dimakuchi PS recently.
According to reports, the duo, identified as San MIyan and zir Ali of tipara under Kalaigaon PS, tried to hand over fake currency notes amounting to Rs 3 lakh to a trader. The Bhergaon police apprehended the duo with the help of Powal Hazarika, SI of Dimakuchi police station.
