Two injured as lightning strikes

SHILLONG, April 20: A lightning strike which happened in Tebrongre village, West Garo Hills district on April 19, injured two people. The incident took place at in the afternoon on Wednesday. The injured person has been identified as Beston Sangma (21) and Binitsan Marak (41). According to sources, the two victims are still receiving medical treatment in Tura Civil Hospital. Meanwhile, sources informed that on Thursday at around 3.30 PM, one woman in Dalu village was hit by a lightning strike and was later taken to Tura Civil Hospital for treatment.
