Two militants neutralised at Longding in Arunachal Pradesh

KOHIMA, July 12: In a routine operation launched by the Khonsa battalion, two hardcore cadres was neutralised near Sonya Noksa Village, Longding district. Acting on reports regarding move of cadres between Longding and Khonsa, the Security Forces launched an area domination patrol in vicinity of Sonya Noksa village on July 11. The column while approaching the village came under fire from an isolated hut, reacting to fire the column retaliated with controlled fire and neutralized the two cadres. In subsequent search operation launched on Thursday morning, the column found the hardcore cadres in combat dress who had succumbed to bullet injuries, an AK series rifle, a pistol. Other incriminating evidence was also recovered from them, stated a press release on Thursday.
